Our Modern Europe travel-study adventure lets students explore Modern European History, Modern Art, and Popular Culture, first hand! Every day will be a new opportunity to discover and experience western societies most influential sites and relics of recent historic and cultural importance. Students will be walking in the footsteps of John, Paul, George, and Ringo across Abbey Road in Westminister, contemplating the allied retreat at Dunkirk and the D-Day landing on the beaches of Normandy, wandering and comparing the Louvre and the Musée National d’Art Moderne in Paris, examining the cultural influence the Iron Curtain had on either side of Germany in Cologne, Berlin, and Dresden, and ultimately it’s fall during velvet revolution in Prague. You will visit some of the most beautiful cities in Europe: London, Paris, Cologne, Berlin, Dresden and Prague, traveling alongside inspirational historians of the 20th century, Modern Art, and Pop Culture every step of the way.
